Your photograph will be ready about 90 minutes after the session, as it requires post-processing.
You’re welcome to relax at a nearby café and return to the studio afterward.
We also offer domestic shipping within Japan for a flat fee of ¥1,000.

Important notes:
・The number of people that can be photographed: 1-4 people
・The composition is only the upper body (the whole body is not covered)
・The images on tintypes are reversed on the left and right. Please be careful of text and logos on clothing.
・Any clothes with some patterns are recommended rather than plain clothes.
*One male and one female yukata (casual kimono) available, free of charge. Feel free to use them for a memorable experience in Japan. (A changing room is available)
・If I find any defects such as blinking or being out of focus after the shoot, I will redo the shoot at no cost.
・Glasses will look a little darker, like lightly tinted sunglasses.
• For portrait sessions, we use powerful strobe lighting to capture natural expressions.
• The studio is ventilated throughout the shoot, but you may still notice chemical smells due to the process.

Modern Frame
Choosing the right frame for a wet plate photograph is not easy. The overall impression can change significantly depending on the balance between the image and the frame.
After testing many options, we selected a frame that harmonizes naturally with wet plate photography and presents it with understated elegance.
The slim dark gray border quietly enhances the atmosphere of the work.
Simple Frame
This is our standard specification to ensure safe handling of your artwork.Since glass or aluminum plates can be difficult to handle on their own, each piece is set in a simple protective frame. It is delivered in a wooden case, with a display stand included.
Optional Add-ons
Wooden Stand (+¥1,500)
We also offer a rugged wooden stand that enhances the raw, metallic character of the tintype.
You can remove the tintype from the frame and display it directly on the stand.

Color Print (+¥3,000)
You can order a color print taken in the same composition as your ambrotype.It is stored inside the lid of the wooden box, so when you open the box, you can enjoy both the wet plate photograph and the color image together.
Full-body Color Portrait / Mounted Print Finish (+¥10,000)
Wet plate photography mainly focuses on upper-body portraits.
For those who would like to capture a full-body image or preserve their outfit, we offer an additional color photoshoot with a simple background.
This option is also recommended for those wearing kimono or dresses.
You will receive approximately 30 edited images, along with two 2L-size prints mounted on presentation boards. These will be delivered at a later date.
Pickup is available at the studio, or shipping can be arranged.
