Irrevrsible / 不可逆 is a wet plate portrait series exploring the theme of the body within irreversible time.

As long as we are alive, we continue to change, and we can never return to who we once were.

Through this series, I hope to photograph that irreversible "present"—not as a story or an explanation, but simply as a person being there.

The wet plate process itself, with its irreversible nature and the fact that each plate is made by hand, is also an essential part of this project.

 

I am currently looking for people who would like to take part in this series.

During the session, there is no need to pose in a particular way. Standing, sitting, or leaning against a wall—my aim is simply to photograph you in a way that feels natural and comfortable.

People of all ages and genders are welcome, and no modeling experience is necessary.

Depending on the image, the session may involve semi-nude or nude photographs. Everything will be discussed with you beforehand, and nothing will be done without your full understanding and consent.

​

Sessions take place on weekend afternoons at my studio in Shinkoiwa, Katsushika, Tokyo. There is no fee to participate. As a thank you, you will receive a finished print from the session.

I hope to present this series in future exhibitions.

Irrevrsible / 不可逆 は、「不可逆な時間の中にある身体」をテーマに制作している、湿板写真のポートレートシリーズです。

​

人は生きている限り変わり続け、元には戻れません。

その「変わってしまった今」を、説明や物語ではなく、ただそこに在る存在として写したいと考えています。

一枚ごとに不可逆な工程を経る湿板写真という技法も、このテーマを支える大切な要素です。

 

現在、このシリーズの被写体になってくださる方を探しています。

​撮影では、無理にポーズを作ることはありません。立つ、座る、壁にもたれるなど、その人が自然にいられる姿を大切にしたいと考えています。

​

年齢・性別は問いません。モデル経験も必要ありません。

作品の内容によっては、セミヌード、またはヌードでの撮影をお願いする場合があります。撮影前に内容をご説明し、ご納得いただいたうえで進めますので、ご安心ください。

撮影は週末の午後、私のスタジオ（葛飾区、新小岩）で行います。参加費はかかりません。謝礼として、完成した湿板写真から作ったプリントを差し上げています。

このシリーズは、今後、展示で発表していくことも考えています。
